Our Story

Eljosa Travel and Tours was established in 2004 as a family owned business. We are operating from a depot in Brackenfell Industrial in the Western Cape, South Africa. The fleet expanded from 1 to 20 coaches wit brands like Mercedes, Volvo and MAN. Each of the coaches has been named after a much-loved dog and the logo includes a paw print of the companion.

We are working with Road Safety of SA, South African Road Transport Agency and the Cross Border Road Transport Agency for licenses and permits. Our coaches under go COF inspection every 6 months and are serviced according to the supplier records. Maintenance is done with Mercedes Benz, MAN, Volvo and Scania.

  • Safety checks are done before each trip.
  • All coaches have safety belts and drivers undergo coach training with every new bus.
  • The drivers use a GPS system on every trip.
  • Eljosa have a back up service throughout SA.
  • A security and control feature Geotab, a satellite tracking device, has been installed on all vehicles in our fleet.
  • Eljosa have Insurance and Passenger Liability via Santam.

Corporate Social Investment

We use transport to improve childrens' possibilities

Eljosa Travel and Tours are committed and excited to bring positive change and possibilities with our busses and staff. Our experience are that transport give people, young and old, the opportunity to go to new places, see new things and expand their knowledge. South Africa have wonderful opportunities which are there for the taking. Partnerships, commitment and perseverance ensure success that can serve as benchmarks and positive role models.

Eljosa decided to concentrate on projects, with clear investment guidelines. This enables us to make a significant and sustained impact in our chosen focus areas. It also allows us to be more involved in our CSR projects and measure developmental returns. The NPO service providers are accountable for the management of funds and and transport use.
